Cyber Kannadigas is an independent English-language cybersecurity and digital-literacy publication built for Karnataka residents and the Kannada diaspora worldwide. This page explains who we are, why our brand has six different spellings, and how our editorial team operates.

Our Mission
Cyber Kannadigas was founded on one belief: digital safety information must reach ordinary people in plain language, not in the jargon of technical manuals. We cover cybersecurity threats, online scams, digital payment safety, government digital services, and internet fundamentals — all written for a Karnataka audience, in clear Indian English.

All Six Brand Names — One Publication
We are sometimes listed under six different spellings across search engines, social media, and word of mouth. Here is why each exists and what it means:
- Cyber Kannadigas — our official canonical name and the spelling used on our primary domain cyberkannadigs.org. ‘Kannadigas’ is the correct English plural for people of Karnataka heritage. We chose the plural to signal a community, not a single person.
- CyberKannadig — our legacy name, used when the publication was hosted at cyberkanadig.com (note the older domain used a shortened spelling). The old domain now redirects permanently to cyberkannadigs.org. Many readers still search for this name and all content is here.
- CyberKannadiga — a common variant that combines our legacy ‘Cyber’ prefix with the singular form ‘Kannadiga’. It is used widely on social media to refer to us.
- Cyberkannadiga — the same as above, written as a single lowercase-initial word. Search engines index us under this form as well.
- Cyber Kannadiga — a two-word version with the singular ‘Kannadiga’. This appears frequently in messages and app-store searches, and all such searches land on this site.
- ಸೈಬರ್ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು — our name rendered in Kannada script. It translates directly to ‘Cyber Kannadigas’. We use this form in Kannada-language social media posts and in metadata so that readers searching in Kannada script find us correctly.
All six forms describe the same editorial team, the same website, and the same content. There is no separate ‘CyberKannadig’ website operating independently — the old domain was ours and it redirects here.
